The documentation of the healers in this tradition will focus on:

Don Juan Tripul, maestro curandero from Sondorillo in the Huancabamba region who was intimately documented by Polia in his book La Sangre del Cóndor.

Doña Isabel and Doña Olinda, the curing duo from Chiclayo whose work constituted an integral portion of Glass-Coffin’s The Gift of Life: Female Spirituality and Healing in Northern Peru.

Don Victor Bravo of Túcume, who practices with his two sons, continuing a 700 year lineage of continuous practice within his family.

Doña Julia Calderon, curandera of Las Delicias and daughter of legendary curandero, the late Don Eduardo Calderon (who formed the core of Sharon’s research and provided the subject for the ground-breaking film, Eduardo the Healer).
